Town Manager Karen Astley reviewed major revisions to the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) Town Road and Bridge Standards and recommended that the Selectboard adopt the updated standards, noting that adopting certain optional standards can make the town eligible for additional funding. Aileen Tulloch made the motion to adopt the standards and Rebecca "Bex" Slattery seconded; the motion passed.
The board did not amend the standards at the Feb. 18 meeting. Selectboard members were told that some funding opportunities are linked to adoption of updated standards; the Town Manager and staff will follow up on implementation details and any grant or funding implications.
