Council approves grants, appointments and liquor-license renewals on consent agenda

On a consent vote (motion by Councilmember Ray Woods, seconded by Councilmember Sean Fitzgerald), the council approved a series of resolutions including R26-66 (insertion of $8,770.91 Clean Communities Grant into the 2026 budget) and R26-67 (insertion of a $10,000 PSEG Foundation Sustainable Jersey Grant). Council also approved appointments: William Lunemann as Building Sub Code Inspector at $7,500 per year for a four-year term beginning May 27, 2026 (R26-68), and Timothy Maher as Electrical Inspector at $5,600 per year for a four-year term beginning May 27, 2026 (R26-69). Council additionally appointed Jon Paul Beauchamp as OEM Coordinator for a term starting January 1, 2026 and concluding December 31, 2028 (R26-76).
The consent agenda included renewals of alcoholic beverage control licenses for MARVS Group 4 Corporation, First Jay Sai LLC and Tulsi Merchantville LLC for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 license year, and R26-74 authorizing submission of an NJDOT grant application for the 2027 Road Program (MA-2027 Merchantville FY 2027 Road Program-00313). The council also passed R26-73 to request dedication-by-rider authority for revenues from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-3.
