Board flags wording concerns in educator-standards policy GCAA; staff to consult legal counsel and OSBA

Superintendent Cline walked the board through a set of policy updates at the April 9 work session. Board members noted concerns about the wording in some of the lists in Policy GCAA (Standards for Competence and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators), and asked staff to verify the origin of the language.
A staff member identified as Gina was asked to check with legal counsel, the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) and Kelly Hick regarding the origination and correctness of the language. The policies will be brought forward for approval at the April 23 board meeting.
