The City of New Smyrna Beach Planning and Zoning Board and Land Planning Agency did not have a quorum at its Aug. 4 meeting, and the presiding Chair announced that most agenda items would be continued to Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m.
"This meeting will have all items continued to September 8 at 05:30PM," the Chair said, noting the board had "3 voting members and 1 non voting member" present and therefore could not conduct the evening's business. The Chair identified the quorum requirement as four voting members at the dais.
Clerk Stephanie conducted the roll call before the quorum announcement; multiple members answered "Here" when their names were called. The Chair then read a list of specific agenda items to be moved to the Sept. 8 meeting, including Items 4A, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5E, 5F, 5G and 5H.
After the continuances were announced the meeting was closed. The board's next scheduled session for the continued items is Sept. 8 at 5:30 p.m.
