Committee member Joe Schmidl outlined potential external funding sources including Clean Energy NH and the Northern Community Investment Corporation. He said many programs require "50/50 matching and count volunteer hours in the match equation," and added that these organizations often provide grant‑writing support.
Kevin O'Neill and others discussed C‑PACER, a financing tool that helps commercial properties invest in energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation and resiliency improvements; O'Neill noted the town would have to vote to participate but the town itself could also use the program. Members discussed pursuing grants and programs to offset costs rather than increasing local expenditures.
