Staff estimated the district's portion of site preparation/materials at roughly $600 to $700. Rimmer said he aims to complete construction in a weekend and was targeting September or October for installation, after required approvals.
Board members asked about safety and materials; one trustee noted a previous injury on a similar unit and asked about safety standards. Staff said they discussed pressure-treated lumber and avoiding splinters and that current installations use rubber mats for fall protection.
