"They played hard. They competed. They had fun along the way," the coach said, summarizing the team's progress. Senator Dietrich presented a framed senate tribute and individual certificates for players, noting the team defeated the No. 4, No. 1 and No. 2 seeds en route to the championship. The board and attendees gathered for photographs following the recognition.
