Superintendent reports summer projects, new website and HACC date ahead of August start

Superintendent Dr. Andy Sanko outlined summer work including building cleaning, device distribution, staffing and curriculum review, announced a new district website and said the Home Access Center opens Aug. 17 at 9 a.m.; he also noted summer program participation numbers.
Superintendent Dr. Andy Sanko described summer preparations across the district, saying teams are engaged in curriculum review, device preparation (including new laptops for rising seniors), facility cleaning with ABM, and planning for the 2026-27 school year that begins Aug. 31 for some grades and Sept. 1 for all students.
"Our new website launched at the beginning of July," Sanko said, and asked the public to direct questions to rockweb@crsd.org. He gave concrete dates: the Home Access Center portal opens on August 17 at 9AM to allow parents to access schedules and class assignments; he also reported that the extended school year program served approximately 500 students and that the summer academy served about 160 students. Sanko thanked staff and the board for supporting summer work and encouraged families to use district resources as the primary information source.
Sanko also announced hiring and leadership preparations: the business department welcomed Paolo Vittoria as assistant business administrator and curriculum committees are advancing elementary report-card revisions and high-school scheduling work, with updates to be shared through education committee meetings in the coming school year.
