Superintendent Pete Peterson reported at the Aug. 12 meeting that the district reached tentative agreements with the KBEA (Kiona-Benton Education Association) and the KBSA (Kiona-Benton Support Association). Peterson said drafts will be prepared for signatures and placed on the district's second meeting agenda in August.
Peterson also told the board that the PSE representative had resigned and that he is working to schedule further meetings with that bargaining unit. No financial terms or contract language were included in the minutes; the items will return for formal action once drafts are available.
