District principals and department leads delivered routine operational updates at the Aug. 12 Kiona-Benton City School District board meeting.
High School Principal Clay Henry reviewed the primary school's written report in the absence of Principal Lisa Upton. Middle School Principal Bruce Davison presented his report and Henry distributed and reviewed high-school information. Maintenance/Transportation lead Mr. Craigo reported that irrigation systems were being repaired, soil pH testing had been performed, elementary classroom moves were underway, gym floors were refinished by in-house staff this year, and transportation maintenance is complete with several new drivers on staff. Athletics staff reported the sports parent night is scheduled for August 29, 2024. Technology staff member Mr. Rodriguez distributed and reviewed a written technology report; Special Services and Student Support Services filed written reports (Ms. Zavala and Mr. Castillo were absent but submitted reports).
