Rob told the board that the extension is needed because additional grant dollars arrived and the district incurred some unplanned expenditures, including an FFA truck. "We had a few more grama dollars that came in... and so we had a few more dollars come in and then turn, we actually had spent some of those," Rob said, explaining the reason for the request. Board members moved and seconded the motion and approved the extension by roll call.
The board did not discuss changes to staffing or programs tied to the extension at the meeting. The resolution was presented for public record and approved during the special meeting; no members of the public spoke for or against the extension.
