At 1:30 PM the board opened competing bids for white plastic edge lines on CRP 380. Commissioner Todd Andrews presided over the opening and recorded three bids: Specialized Pavement Markings $204,963.36; Pavement Surface Control (Construction Ahead Inc.) $245,299.84; Hicks Striping and Curbing LLC $215,884.64. The board voted to return all bids to Public Works for review and recommendation (M/Zoller, S/Andrews; passed unanimously).
The minutes show the bids were accompanied by the required bid bonds and that the board did not award the contract immediately, opting instead to have Public Works conduct a review and issue a formal recommendation.
