The Klickitat County Board of Commissioners approved a 20-item consent agenda during its Jan. 14, 2025 meeting, including appointments to regional boards, planning reappointments, tourism contracts and funding awards.
Among the actions, the board approved Resolution Nos. 00525–01225 appointing commissioners to various regional committees and boards, reappointed two members and appointed one new member to the Planning Commission, and authorized independent contractor tourism promotion agreements with not-to-exceed budgets. The board also awarded lodging-tax revenues totaling $133,495 distributed as follows: $53,000 to the Greater Goldendale Chamber of Commerce, $71,595 to the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce, $3,900 to the Alder Creek Rodeo Association, $4,000 to the Klickitat County Fair Board and $1,000 to the Klickitat County Economic Development Department.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Commissioner Lori Zoller, seconded by Commissioner Todd Andrews, and passed unanimously. The consent agenda included an engagement letter with TDJ CPA (Teresa D. Johnson) for annual financial services and a two-year extension of a quarry lease with James Dean Construction among other departmental contracts.
