Town staff presented updated town road-and-bridge standards aligning local requirements with new state guidance on drainage and minimum culvert sizing so the town remains eligible for grant funding. After brief discussion, the selectboard voted to adopt the changes as presented.
"We have received some revised town, road, and bridge standards... The state now has new guidance, regarding drainage crossings and have required all new culverts to be a minimum of 18 inches," Presenter (Speaker 5) said. The board also approved a $3,500 proposal from Fulman and Sons to sweep village streets in early May so line painting and commencement can proceed on schedule.
Board members asked staff to provide copies of the updated standards to the road commission and to coordinate scheduling with the sweeper company.
