Board moves fall conferences to early November; superintendent thanks staff

Superintendent Pete Peterson proposed a minor adjustment to the 2024–25 calendar to move fall conferences to the beginning of November so they fall closer to the end of the first quarter; the board approved the adjustment 4–0. Board Chair Josh Skipper said the timing made sense.
During board comments and the superintendent’s report, Mr. Peterson and Director Rick Gonzales both praised a recent staff breakfast; Mr. Peterson thanked food service, maintenance, custodial and IT staff for their efforts. The meeting then moved into an executive session on employee performance and adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
