Trustees accept FY2025 financial statements; report fund balances and $10,000 town payment

The Trustees reviewed financial statements as of June 30, 2025 and voted to accept them. Deborah Jones, Town Treasurer and Successor Trustee, reported the Nonspendable Downer Fund Balance at $237,246.13, the Pine Hill Cemetery Nonspendable Fund Balance at $3,000 (invested with Chester Downer Endowment Fund Treasury Notes), and the Restricted portion of the Chester Downer Endowment Fund at $13,690.81. She noted the major expense for the year was a $10,000 payment to the Town of Sharon to support reconstruction of flooring supports in the Old Town Hall.
Trustee Martha Fisk moved to accept the financial statements and Trustee Justin Shipman seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 3-0-0. The trustees recorded the balances and expense for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 as presented.
