Fire Marshal Dave Rogers reported to the board that in March there were 31 inspections, 15 open burning permits issued, and two smoke detectors installed; there were no reported fire incidents, investigations, or fire prevention events for the period. He also said a purchase order has been submitted to install a dry hydrant at 262 Milton Road and that departments are fully operational on the NERIS system.
Rogers noted the department purchased a water-resistant camera to complete a fire-investigation kit for unit L1; additional kits are in the Fire Marshal vehicle and on Engine 4. Commissioners moved to accept the March Fire Marshal report; Jon Torrant moved, Sean Fogarty seconded, and the motion was recorded as approved unanimously.
