Town Manager David Cox updated the Brownfields Redevelopment Agency on recent grant activity and outreach. Members were told the DECD grant period ends at the end of June and the commission did not receive a DECD award this round; staff said materials are prepared for the next application cycle. VHB's recent work was discussed and members were told that drinking water testing had not shown contamination.
The members also reviewed the status of the EPA-related assessment and discussed sharing environmental-hazard and assessment reports with VHB. Commission members described a recent press event where a commissioner and Chair Baldassario spoke, and they agreed to invite Economic Development Commission members to the July meeting to align on next steps for grant applications and public outreach.
