Public works staff presented the results of a competitive bid process for the Mill Fire storm drain infrastructure replacement project and recommended that the contract be awarded to Tullis in the amount of $1,113,269. The staff report said PACE Engineering and the city attorney reviewed the bids and recommended the award to Tullis after finding a competing bidder’s package incomplete.
Council discussed bid amounts and asked about the local contractor participation. With no public comment the council voted to award the contract and authorized the city manager to execute the agreement. Staff noted approximately $548,000 will be charged to city funds to complete the project, with the remainder funded from other designated sources.
