Board approves amended agenda; ratifies hires and $159,358 in vouchers

The Kiona-Benton City School District Board of Directors approved an amended meeting agenda at its Sept. 9, 2024, regular session and then adopted the consent agenda that included minutes from Aug. 26, 2024, several personnel appointments and audited vouchers. Director Gina Warner moved to adopt the amended agenda; Director Rick Gonzales seconded, and the motion passed 4–0.
Under the consent agenda the board noted four new hires: Silvia Katsel (part-time high school assistant volleyball coach), Sarah Kurth (Senior Class advisor), Sara Vannoy (part-time high school assistant volleyball coach) and Keithon Flemming (high school National Honor Society advisor). The board also approved audited payments including AP General Fund vouchers totaling $157,638.76 (Vouchers 1000–1004) and an ASB voucher of $1,719.69 (Voucher 1003) covering warrants numbered 116680–116694.
