Selectboard approves town-green rally permit and weekly farmers market with conditions

The Selectboard reviewed two requests to use the town green and approved both. Staff introduced a request from an organizer for the "No Kings National Day of Action" rally on March 28 with an expected attendance of roughly 400; the board found no scheduling conflicts and approved the permit by motion and voice vote.
The board also approved a permit for the Royalton Farmers Market to operate Sundays from June 7 through Sept. 27 (excluding Sept. 13). Members set hours and operational conditions to avoid interference with church activities, instructing vendors not to set up prior to 10 a.m. and confirming market hours of about 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. "All those in favor of permitting the No Kings National Day of Action rally on the green... say aye," staff recorded during the vote.
