Planning commission and 2 Rivers to draw traffic-and-parking alternatives for village green

Gio, speaking for the planning commission, told the board the group wants a technical analysis to determine where diagonal parking and one‑way flows could safely allow tractor‑trailers to serve downtown businesses. "We need to get a truck, and the semi has to be able to navigate the green. That that's not negotiable because we need those to unload the business plot," Gio said, explaining the study will map turning radii and parking reconfiguration.
Ari of 2 Rivers said the work will be a geometry exercise using existing right-of-way dimensions and turning-path analysis; she offered staff time and asked for a sense of urgency. "I can prepare something very similar... taking the dimensions of the existing right away and road and drawing out the path of travel, thinking about those turning radiuses for the large tractor trailers," Ari said. The board voted to authorize the planning commission to coordinate with the sidewalk committee and have 2 Rivers draft alternatives for review at a future meeting.
