Haslett superintendent announces tentative teacher agreement; board to act Aug. 10

Superintendent Malley told the board on July 20 that district negotiators have reached a tentative agreement with the teacher bargaining unit and that the agreement will go to teacher membership for a vote this week.
"That agreement goes to the teacher membership for a vote this week, and the board will take action at our next board meeting on August 10," Malley said. He added that the district hopes to share a full 2026-27 calendar with families soon and thanked the HCA negotiating team for their work.
The superintendent did not provide details of the agreement at the meeting and said the board will consider formal action on Aug. 10 once the teacher membership vote is complete.
