Klickitat planning director presents Solar and BESS ordinance; board appoints Planning Commission and PAC members

Planning Director Scott Edelman briefed commissioners on several planning priorities including Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission matters, work on a Solar and BESS (battery energy storage system) ordinance, and ongoing Comprehensive Plan items. The board agreed to take up Project Advisory Committee (PAC) applicants in an afternoon workshop.
In the workshop the board reappointed Zack Landgren to represent District 1 and Mark Jobe to represent District 3 on the Planning Commission, and appointed Dave Wasgatt to represent District 2. The board also appointed 11 PAC members (Rob Abramovitz, Anthony Browning, Matt Chiles, Elaine Harvey, Mark Minor, Jenn Sharp, Mike Villamar, David West, Matt Spalding, Fred Wilkins) and three ex‑officio members (Brandon Johnson, Paris Valdez and Gavin Andrews).
