Board sets mowing plan, notes low event attendance, adjourns; next meeting Aug. 14

The Ashley Community Forest Board agreed that Shawn Ward will perform mowing this summer using Annie Penfield’s mower; the group decided to mow the Strafford meadow and a path through the Sharon meadow to address brush resulting from recent logging. The board also noted low attendance at several recent events and announced a program by Dan Healey, "How trees work," scheduled for Aug. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. after a motion by David Paganelli; Annie Penfield seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board scheduled its next meeting for August 14, 2025 at Morrill Library in Strafford, VT.
