Selectboard approves FY27 pay increases and offers part-time bookkeeping job

Treasurer Deb Jones presented the proposed FY27 pay rates to take effect with the June 28–July 11, 2026 payroll. After questions regarding budget impacts and precedent for employees hired mid-fiscal year, the Selectboard discussed the matter in executive session to protect employee privacy. When the meeting resumed, the board unanimously authorized specific FY27 pay increases: a 3.2% increase for the Town Administrator, Finance Manager, Interim Finance Manager, Accounts Payable Clerk, Planning Administrator, Cleaning Staff, Highway Supervisor, and two 2025 Road Crew members; and a 1.36% increase for a Road Crew member hired in 2026. The board also approved applying increases to FY27 annual stipends for Town Treasurer and Town Clerk as previously approved by voters.

Following a second executive session on hiring, the Selectboard approved making an offer to a part-time bookkeeper candidate, with an anticipated start around July 6 under the direct supervision of the Treasurer, Deb Jones. The motions were approved unanimously. The board did not provide additional public detail about candidate selection or compensation beyond what was needed to authorize hiring and payroll adjustments.
