A staff member told the Open Space Advisory Committee on Aug. 6 that multiple property offers and conservation easement proposals are expected in the coming months. "We'll get into detail when we, get more information from the landowners, but a lot of conservation easements coming through the pipes," the staff member said.
The update came during the meeting's open session as staff urged committee members to remain engaged and review Notices of Intent (NOIs) as they arrive. The staff member said the agency will provide additional details from landowners as they become available and asked members to watch for agendas and materials so district representation can be maintained.
The committee also discussed logistics for upcoming review work and the importance of having at least one representative from each county division available for deliberations. No formal decisions on any specific easement or acquisition were made during the open session.
The committee scheduled its next meeting for Sept. 3 and indicated staff will circulate an agenda about a week beforehand with supporting documents.
