Council approved a tree removal credit agreement with Kinkoschka LLC that recognizes protected trees removed within the wastewater easement and establishes a limited baseline adjustment for future preservation calculations. Utilities staff explained that the agreement records 550 caliper inches of protected trees to be credited to future development on the property and that non-protected species and heritage trees are excluded from the credit.
Gray Larman read an added paragraph (included as additional language) that requires final construction review and documentation so that any trees damaged outside the easement area would be added to the inventory and reflected as additional credit in favor of the owner. Council voted to approve the agreement with the additional language and authorized execution by the city administrator.
