Sean Cox, who led the presentation, told council: "it was a little lower than what we received in April, and so that's why you see, a 191,000 deduction." The consolidated general fund discussion included operations, parks and a separate Founders' Day fund.
Cox detailed two packet amendments: a reduction in recommended HOT grant funding after re-review of applicant information and a correction to a personnel line where an intern's yearly cost was misstated as $67,000 and corrected to $6,700. The Founders' Day budget was described line-by-line — revenues from new cabin/cabana rentals and expanded tent/table expenditures were added, porta-potty and site costs rose with the carnival moving to a school site, and staff noted the Lions Club had covered some FY26 site costs that are being shifted back into the event budget for FY27. Cox said staff will bring any substantive changes back to council as budget amendments.
