Homeowner William Boda told the board he applied in April to enclose an existing deck as a small mudroom and that the proposed work would leave roughly four feet to the property line. He said the project retains the existing footprint and that there were no neighbors objecting at the meeting.
The board found the enclosure did not contradict the public interest and that the change would not diminish surrounding properties because the deck already exists. A motion to approve the variance relying on the findings in the application passed unanimously.
