Unionville re-adds zoning appeal fee and sets major development fee at $1,500

Clerk/Tax Collector/Land Use Administrator Melody Braswell presented the revised 2026—62027 Fee Schedule and explained two changes: the re-addition of an appeal fee of $200 for zoning appeals and an increase of the major development permit application fee to $1,500, which Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Benton had requested. Braswell said the town's fees are generally lower than those of larger municipalities and are in line with comparable Fairview fees given staffing levels.
Councilman Jaren Simpson moved to approve the fee schedule and Councilman Gene Price seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The Council did not attach additional conditions to the fee changes at the meeting.
