Residents urge caution on water, development and call for more dining options

Lee said she had raised the issue with planning staff (Ryan) and quoted a population figure discussed with staff: "He said that there's 21,000 people now in North Ogden, and we're fit to fit 40,000 people here." She described fears about water supply, potential impacts on the Great Salt Lake and agriculture, and urged officials and state representatives to act. Mayor Barker and staff responded in the meeting that developments must demonstrate water rights and that North Ogden currently has the water rights required for approved developments. Staff advised Lee to contact state legislators for issues beyond local authority.
No council action was taken on those public-comments items; staff recorded the concerns for follow-up.
