The North Ogden City Council approved an interlocal agreement with the Weber County surveyor's office on July 14 to bring county plat review into the city's subdivision final-plat process. Staff said the review reduces title and ownership errors and typically saves time later in the recorder's office.
Scott Hess, community and economic development director, explained the fee schedule: $900 plus $25 per lot for the review, with a separate $400 per monument fee issued directly to the Weber County survey office. "That cost is passed directly to the developers and typically increases or decreases the amount of time and waiting that they have to do in revising a plat," Hess said.
Council members asked for clarification about who pays the monument fees; staff confirmed developers pay the monument and review costs. The motion to approve the interlocal agreement carried on a roll-call vote, 5–0.
