Ron Israel introduced the federal action and asked whether the committee should take any formal response; the committee reached consensus to proceed with current initiatives, especially EV promotion.
Matt Panucci recommended continuing CAPC’s work and said policy changes at the federal level would likely be channeled through the Select Board before affecting the committee’s work. Chair Alex Hasha emphasized CAPC’s focus on voluntary local actions within a state that maintains “robust climate policies” and noted the Healey Administration had responded negatively to the federal move. The committee recorded no motion on a formal public statement and instead affirmed the direction to proceed.
