Staff described a new process for the Cove and Ridge lot buyers: early pre‑application meetings, a mandatory scoping of geohazard submittals, guidance on selecting qualified geotechnical consultants, and free land‑use permits for non‑structural fencing/landscape work. Council members asked questions about responsibility for repairs (staff said developers or responsible contractors have paid repairs to date) and the expected long‑term stability once inspections and corrections are complete.
