District schools present trustlands and TSSA plans to sustain interventions, tutoring and capstones

Multiple school leaders presented their Trustlands and TSSA plans, highlighting priorities such as retaining instructional staff, funding intervention programs, sustaining concurrent-enrollment options and adding student supports.

At Morgan High, administrators proposed retaining two language-arts teachers to reduce class sizes, keeping a full-time math teacher, and expanding music offerings after Weber State discontinues an online art class; their TSSA plan emphasizes hiring a college-and-career adviser focused on capstones, internships and work-based learning. Morgan Middle said it would allocate roughly 90% of its trustlands budget to staffing—intervention aides and instructional coaching—with a goal of raising RISE scores by 2% and continuing successful Read 180 interventions. Mountain Green Middle outlined plans for additional intervention aides, professional development and software (I-Ready, IXL) and said it will pilot small summer STEM camps. Morgan Elementary described continued investment in intervention aides and evidence-based reading/math programs and reported a 4‑0 approval vote by its council.

Each school representative said their school council reviewed and approved the trustlands plans (votes reported as unanimous for several schools) and described how the funds will be measured through tests and intervention metrics; board members thanked presenters and emphasized the board’s role in ensuring community councils function and that trustlands funds target each school’s greatest academic need.
