"I'm proposing here that we increase it to $25 an hour," Scott said, noting that the county charges similar rates elsewhere and that the district currently subsidizes recreation use relative to market.
Board members discussed possible uses of county sales-tax-derived revenue (the "rat tax") to offset costs and acknowledged competing community priorities for those funds. They agreed the interlocal agreement should be a "living document" revisited annually and placed the matter on the calendar for further negotiation with county officials and COG representatives.
