Councilmembers discussed percentage increases and comparability with other municipalities; one councilmember said updates are typically performed every three to four years. "Court fees are to process and handle the court," the chair said, emphasizing that enforcement is intended for safety and education rather than revenue generation.
After discussion the council voted to accept the updated fine schedule; the council recorded a roll-call for the items required by ordinance. Staff will implement the new fee schedule and update court procedures accordingly.
