The Baldwin City Council on April 7 authorized the competitive offering of Series 2026A general obligation temporary notes totaling roughly $4,390,000 to provide short‑term funding for projects approved earlier in the meeting.
City finance staff explained the notes will mature in September 2028 and will be competitively sold on May 5 at 10:00 a.m., with award to the lowest interest cost. Staff reported the city’s short‑term financing rating is not expected to change and that S&P had noted pressure on the long‑term rating tied to reserve levels, though that did not affect the temporary‑note sale.
Council voted to proceed with the competitive offering and approved the presented offering documents.
