Town Manager Jessica Cyr gave a multipoint report: the BTLA hearing scheduled for Sept. 24 regarding Hodge Road (owned by Cholewa) was withdrawn by the property owners; she sent an Economic Revitalization Zone letter to local businesses with help from the Chamber and Coös Economic Development Commission; and Lancaster Beautification planted two sugar maple trees in Centennial Park in memory of David J. Black, noting parking near the newly planted trees required staking off the area.
Cyr announced Lancaster Trails volunteer days on Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 25 with support from the Northern Forest Center and the Appalachian Mountain Club; staff will insulate material piles and address fire escapes and boiler-room fire separations by mid-December; the Parade of Lights is scheduled for Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. She also reported two recent water breaks (one near the Lancaster Motel and another at the fire station) and said NHDES will finish vulnerability assessment work and present to the Select Board in late 2025 or possibly January.
