Lavoie told the board she was unsure how the town could certify the work without more complete evidence and emphasized that the burden of proof should not rest solely on town employees; she asked for a map overlay of proposed coverage with the actual served addresses and requested that the provider return to present and review the work performed and connections made.
Town Manager Jessica Cyr noted the certification includes a clause requiring the town to notify the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs’ Office of Broadband Initiatives if the town discovers inaccuracies; Select Board members asked staff to invite the provider back to review the documentation before any certification by the board.
