Performance subcommittee reports positive Oremfest turnout, flags audio and scheduling fixes

Nathan Christensen, who led the performance-subcommittee report, told the Orem Arts Council that Oremfest "went awesome" and that performers appreciated paid local opportunities.
Christensen said the subcommittee selected performers for the summer concert series and reported mainly positive feedback but identified a few operational problems. "We brought a band in to play, like, kind of, like, as a night closer. That didn't really work out very well because it was so dark in that part of the park by 09:45," he said, and the subcommittee recommended avoiding similar late-night scheduling in dimly lit park areas.
Members also reported minor audio issues for one group at the festival and suggested adding a clear "performer check-in" sign and a banner near the stage to help visiting performers locate staging areas. A volunteer who staffed a table recommended the sign after noting confusion about whom to approach for check-in.
The subcommittee will reconvene to plan entertainment for the harvest festival at the end of September and refine the performer logistics documented in this meeting.
