Lisa Upton, the elementary principal, told the board that the school will install new signage in English and Spanish reflecting behavior expectations and the school’s '3 for 3' (respectful, responsible, safe) approach. Upton said the signage project encountered vendor delays but the district is now working with a local company in Kennewick.
Upton reported excellent conference turnout, estimating about 73–100% participation in most classrooms, and described student incentives tied to 'Bear Bucks' including a planned Dec. 17 'glow party' for students who earn 60 Bear Bucks. She invited board members to volunteer at the event.
