Superintendent Pete Peterson reported that a recent board workshop on a possible levy went well and recommended pausing public outreach until after the Nov. 2024 election. He told the board the district must file a resolution with the county by Dec. 12 if it seeks placement on a February 2025 ballot.
Peterson asked the board for permission to begin assembling a citizens committee to explore potential levy rates and bring recommendations back to the board. He framed the committee as an early, preliminary step in what he described as "first of many discussions" about levy timing and rate-setting.
