Council advances water and garbage/recycling rate ordinances to third reading July 6

Johnson moved that both ordinances be given their second consideration and that the second reading be adopted; Bueghly seconded. The council voted by roll call—Wambold, Pease, Johnson, Trepp and Bueghly all voted aye—and set the third reading for July 6, 2026.
The action moves the proposed new utility service rates forward in the ordinance process; a public hearing or further council consideration may occur at the July 6 meeting when the third reading is scheduled to occur.
