The Blount County Planning Commission unanimously approved preliminary or final plats for five subdivision items after staff presented required outstanding items and commissioners moved to approve with conditions.
Doug, a planning staff member, described each application and outstanding items: for the Clyde Kidd Estate (4 lots off Old Niles Ferry Road) staff required developer notices, a maintenance/HOA agreement and the preliminary plat fee; for the Anderson property (Lots 1–5) staff listed final Blount County Environmental Health review, highway department driveway evaluation, final certifications and fees. "There's 4 lots, 3 to be served by common driveway easement and 1 with road frontage," Doug summarized for the Clyde Kidd Estate.
Other plats approved included the Charles & Anne Farmer replat (4 lots on Hostetler Road), a replat of the Spurgeon property (Tracks 4–6 off Sevierville Road) and the Whispering Winds Properties replat off Pleasant Hill Road. Commissioners made motions and seconds (movers and seconders named in the meeting record) and staff confirmed outstanding items would be completed prior to final plat certifications. Each motion was recorded in the meeting as "Motion passes."
