During the public comment period, resident Sandy Odenwald of 7316 Sutherland Ave urged the Board to limit the number of cannabis dispensaries in Shrewsbury to one and asked that any tax revenue from dispensaries be directed to the Shrewsbury Police and Fire departments.
Odenwald also raised concerns about odor from cannabis operations and requested a nuisance code to address smell, telling the Board she felt "there is a dispensary on every corner." The Board recorded the comment in the minutes; no immediate policy action or vote on dispensary limits or nuisance-code changes occurred at the work session.
