During the July 21 meeting the council voted to place two referendum items before voters: a senior tax exemption and a referendum on the sale of distilled spirits. Council member (S6) moved to approve each referendum and the motions were seconded; the council then approved by show of hands.
"Make a motion to approve referendum for senior tax exemption," said Council member (S6). On the distilled-spirits item, Council member (S6) similarly moved to approve placing the referendum on the ballot. The transcript records the motions and approvals but does not include roll-call tallies.
