Members raised warranty and equipment concerns tied to plow mounting; several cautioned that dealer- or factory-installed plows that carry a warranty are preferable to after-market installations. The council reviewed resale options for the old truck (sealed bids or online auction) and confirmed $50,000 was budgeted for a replacement. Councilmember (S4) moved that Mindy and Lance be authorized to "seal the deal on this $47,256.50 with the 2025 Ram 1,500," the motion was seconded and adopted.
The council directed staff to proceed with the purchase and to pursue resale of the existing vehicle through the previously used channels. The purchase will be finalized by the named staff members and recorded in the next set of administrative documents.
