Council approves $25,000 amendment to owner–engineer contract for meter design

Council approved Amendment No. 2 to the owner—engineer agreement with B and G (BG) to cover additional design tasks related to the added meters. The not-to-exceed amount will rise from $2,489,300 to $2,514,300 to fund the engineering effort required to incorporate the extra 113 service points into construction documents.
Aaron of B and G explained the $25,000 would cover plan development and be used for the additional sheet provisions needed to take the extra meters into the contractor—s scope. A council motion to approve the amendment was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
